Guided Walk For Heritage Week To Bohatch Dolman.
A 12km looped guided walk from Mountshannon Harbour to Bohatch Dolmen, along part of the East Clare Way walking route. This is a moderate walk with some steep ascents. Bring a packed lunch for a stop at the portal dolmen, which is said to have been the burial place for local chieftains over 3,000 years ago. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear and fluids. Leaving Two-Mile-Gate (Ballycuggaran Blue Flag Beach), Killaloe at 6:30am, we will follow the Ballycuggaran Looped Walk and climb to a height of approx. 250 metres.
