Naturewatch: Evening to Dusk Walk

This is an evening to dusk walk for all Ages of 5.5km easy flat route leaving Tulla Utd's Cragg Field at 7.30pm for a loop around Clondoorney Lake and back to Tulla Utd. Part of the walk is on a gravel track so suitable walking boots are advised. A pair of binoculars for observing birds etc and a hi-vis vest is recommended. Come along and enjoy a Guided Walk on Ballycuggaran, or Baile Ni Chogarain in Irish, which was homeland of the O’Cuggarans, an important family at the court of Brain Boru. Guided Walk For Heritage Week To Bohatch Dolman.

A 12km looped guided walk from Mountshannon Harbour to Bohatch Dolmen, along part of the East Clare Way walking route. This is a moderate walk with some steep ascents. Bring a packed lunch for a stop at the portal dolmen, which is said to have been the burial place for local chieftains over 3,000 years ago. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear and fluids.
